The Canon RF-S 3.9mm f/3.5 STM Dual Fisheye VR Lens is designed to meet the growing needs of 3D and VR content creators using EOS-R mirrorless cameras. It is compatible with crop format sensors found in cameras such as the EOS R7.

It follows the form factor of the previously launched RF 5.2mm F/2.8L Dual Fisheye VR Lens (for full-frame cameras) with an innovative dual fisheye design that offers a wide 140º angle of view. The inter-pupillary distance is made to resemble human eyes to create a more realistic 3D viewing experience and the mirrorless lens combines high image quality with fast focusing and convenient operation.

Canon has utilised two Ultra Low Dispersion glass elements to reduce aberrations and achieve higher image quality along with using the premium Air Sphere Coating to prevent ghosting and flare. This was previously seen in lenses such as the RF 14-35mm F4L IS USM and delivers high contrast in backlit and difficult lighting conditions.

Focusing is quick and quiet from the RF-S 3.9mm thanks to tried-and-tested STM technology allowing you to focus on the story rather than worry about keeping sharp focus on your subject.

A customary control / focus ring enables you to assign various functions to the lens and match other RF lenses through personalised customisation to streamline the creative process. Capturing 3D images for VR storytelling has never been easier especially with the bright f/3.5 aperture which allows you to shoot in low light situations inside and out in the field.
