The optical formula is composed of 13 elements arranged in 12 groups which includes 3 ASPH 1 UED 3 ED AND 1 UHR special lens elements.

These include the ability to make smooth exposure changes through micro-step aperture control well suppressed focus breathing which minimises any changes to the angle of view when pulling focus. The inner focus and linear motor mechanism delivers silent AF and allows you to accurately track subjects across the frame. When shooting in MF and linear focus is selected you are able to adjust the rotation angle of the focus ring to suit your shooting style and the lens provides great compatibility with follow focus systems.

Unified prime lens design for high quality video production

This is the fifth prime lens from Panasonic which offers a unified shooting experience when changing lenses switching filters and mounting your camera on a gimbal such as the DJI RS 3 or Zhiyun Weebill 3. With similar weight and balance switching lenses to change focal widths while using a gimbal is simple as the gimbal maintains similar tilt and roll with no adjustments or rebalancing required.
